the thing is the oven just makes the silicone hot
the heat gun will melt the plastic and the glas and burn the silicone istead of making it soft and it will take longer but thats up to you.

The oven thing works well.. I've heard of it being used for this sort of thing before.

I'll be trying this probably sometime this week.

Hey guys,
I'm slightly worried about putting my Headlights in the oven as they are all plastic and I'm afraid they would melt!

Spaceman.

I've heard of it done before to do other things so I think its safe.. there are alot of headlight mods that require putting it in the oven. If your worried put it on really low.

I just though of something.. did you put silicone back on to seal it up? I'd be worried about it getting foggy or something since its not sealed.

The headlights wont melt if you put it in there for 10 to 15 min. and you dont need more silicone to put the light back on, all you have to do is after the paint drys off put everything back together and put it back in the oven for 10 more min and squeeze it back together, put the bulbs back on and there you go thats what I did, nothing happened to my headlights.

I just squeezed everything back together and warmed it up in the oven and than squeezed a little more and close the headlight and its been like 3-4 days and there not foggy and theb paint is not melting.
