How about just getting the REAL HIDs..........they will last many times longer than any halogen bulb, and you can find them fairly cheap on ebay. If you want pure white with slight blue tint go for 4000k - 5000k HIDs. 6000K has a definite blue tint. 8000k is quite blue.
Whats cheap for HIDs? $300?

My friend got a 8000K kit for his C5 for $160.

And even $300 is worth it for the night and day difference in road illumination, those blue painted halogens just don't even compare.

Yet... Is there a problem with the lights on the car, that I would spend $160 for? Thats thequestion. If you feel its worth spending, go ahead, I would perfer getting some factory foglamps and a custom wiring kit
