Default Okay, finally posting pics - Wagon/Tint/17's

I finally got around to getting a decent exterior shot of the 05 wagon - figured I should post it, and re-post my old garage pics from before.

The rims are Stern 17's, 42" offset. Richbrook knob ordered from the UK. Arizona-dark tint. Rear emblems shaved, with a Holden badge in the center. Underdrive pulley and Short shift kit from Kinky. Sirius satellite radio. Only future plans might include a CAI. I've also got a custom grill in the works (that S in the front has to go).

Works great for hauling music and sound gear for gigs or DJ jobs.

Very nice wagon!

I really like that shift knob, I have yet to find one that looks that good. Where did you order it from? Also where did you get the silver/chrome reverse lock out lifter?

The shift knob came from this website. They have some new ones that also look cool - the 4th one down the page looks really nice (leather).

Speeding.co.uk Car Accessories Richbrook Gear Knobs & Gaiters

Also, look through these:

Demon Tweeks Motorsport, Motorcycle, Modifying, Parts and Accessories under "modifying"

I'm sure you know, but remember to get lift-reverse only.

As far as the lift-reverse handle, if I remember right the silver one came with the short-shift kit or the handle. Honestly don't remember, but I think it was with the short-shifter. Anyone else with the shorty remember this?

No worries -- glad to give info. The shift knob isn't threaded, but uses a set screw. No threads needed -- be sure you're looking at the lift-reverse ones; the non-lift are more likely to be threaded. And you probably noticed - they're all going to be expensive. Pound-to-Dollar is bad news, plus import.

I haven't had any problems at all with the set screw arrangement, but if you were to have some movement of the knob, you could drill a small depression to align and hold the screw. More trouble than it's worth, really -- mine has never ever moved.

Also, a note on the shift boot - you can re-use the stock one OK. it is held tight at the top from the factory by a zip-tie, inside out (that'll make sense when you take it off and see what I mean). You can leave it right side out, and use a black zip tie to thread the top shut, then trim the zip tie flush so no excess sticks out. It'll be out of sight, and the boot will look factory.
