Pic posting / hosting question...

After inserting pics in a thread, does one have to maintain those pics on their hosting site or does this forum's database maintain them as well? Meaning, can I erase the ones I store / host and still have the pics show in my posts?

If you erase the pictures on your host/server the link to it will be destoryed. The picture should stay if you upload it thru the forums tho. Kinky can give you a better answer on that part as he is a mod.

If you load them to the forum, you do not, but if you link to them using {insert image} then all the forum has is just a place to look, not the actual image.

Kinda like the card file at the library (Yes, the Dewy Decimal system! DUN DUN DUN!) All it does is point to where the book is, not contain the book

Might I sujest using Cardomain. If your tricky with the open images in new tab on firefox, you can use them for hosting, and have a random image page.
