Its naturally runs a little rich. If you consider the fact that the stock pipe points down, and the SWT one brings it out the back, you can understand why you would see a build up. Also, being that new, your still working the engine in

Default Okay Cool - thanks!

Yes, I noticed that the original tailpipe had carbon on the inner rim before I added the extension. It makes sense now that the chrome would show more since it is level and not pointed down.

Do you guys think I should change the oil after the first 300 miles?

I have read that new engines have all these metal shavings in them and if you change the oil the first 300, then 1000, then every 3000 like normal.

Is this just BS? Anyone else heard of this B4?

Change your oil at 7,000 milies, not 3,000 milies, as that is the oil change time frame for our car.

my dealer told me to take the first 2k miles really easy to break the engine in...after the 2k, they had me change the oil JUST IN CASE OF METAL SHAVINGS. it is true and makes sense. they might not get all the burrs and junk off the engine at the factory or while test driving at the dealers. better be safe than sorry, dude. less than 30 bucks and a half hour and you're done

Okay cool,
Thanks for the info guys. I am already past 350 and I thought it a bit daft and silly to already be changing the oil!
