2.0 Litre Dohc J20 - Who Made It?

I am not sure who is the actual maker of this J20 engine - 2.0 L DOHC. Any idea who made them? At first, I thought Mitusbushi. Seem that I am wrong at some points.

Second note... I think that it is G18K engine. I am not sure at all. As I got the rebuild gasket kit. It said for Suzuki G18K engine. I am not sure because I thought that it is J20, isn't that 2.0 DOHC 4 inline engine? Hope that someone willing to chime in, unless nobody care or unable answer my question.

The J20 is a Suzuki designed and built engine which is basically a larger displacement G18.

Please can you tell me if the J18 or J20 or even the H20A, M18A (The newer Suzuki Engines) can fit my old and curvy Suzuki Escudo 1992! It has a manual Gear Box 4x4.

It would be a great help if some one can guide me if i can fit a j20 in the old Vitara project.
