Exclamation Heater Problems

Hey guys/gals.... I am having some problems with my heater in my 2006 reno... At first it quit working for like 2 weeks... No blowing at all but heat would slowly come out... Then it start working again for like 2 days... Now it will work some then not some, but when you turn the dial to 1 / 2 / 3/ or 4 it makes a slight clicking sound? Any ideas what it may be... When it works it works on all setting but when its out its out, nothing just click around dial setting 3 or 4...

Hope this is enough info..

Thanks

Sounds like it is time to replace the blower motor behind the glove box.

The click you are hearing without anything happening is the relay clicking over behind the kick panel above the brake pedal when you turn the dial from 3 to 4.

Blower motor connector leads over heat and cause the solder points to get detached.

I had to replace mine the same way.. Ordered a used one from ebay for about 50.

It is quite easy to replace.. Does need some elbow grease tho because the clearance between the blower motor and carpeting is not much.

Let me know if you are going to do it yourself and I will write more instructions if you like.
