Default Replace starter in 2007 Forenza

Does anyone know of a resource that could help me do this?
I've never had to replace a starter before and I can't find anything on the internet on how to change one in a forenza.
Anyone know of any online manuals or something?

Default 2007 forenza starter location

Anybody know where the starter is on the 2007 forenza? I have to replace mine and I would hate to pay someone else to do something I can generally do on my own if I knew where it was.

I'd suggest calling a dealership and asking the Service department. They may even give you a few tips and tricks on swapping them out.

Also, you can probably trace the cable running from the positive terminal on your battery directly to the starter.

I'm not sure if it applies to the Forenza, but you can also try this as a reference: Service Manual2005

Thanks for the tip. I called the dealership and they told me exactly were it was. I got the only mounting bolt off, but the starter will not come off. I ever hit it with a rubber mallet the best I could a few times. Any suggestions?

I should also note that I have a 2007 forenza which means a 2.0L DOHC motor.

Parts diagram shows 2 bolts as standard on most starters.
Hope this helps....

Here is a picture I snapped of the starter. You can clearly see the second mounting bolt location without the bolt

One bolt is threaded into the starter body and it looks like that one

That is the one I removed. Not sure what is still holding the starter in.
