Default should i trust the mechanics???

my 06 forenza went into the shop to get some warranty work done before it expired. it is expired now but all the work will still be covered. my question is, my ac compressor is making a clicking sound when the ac or defrost is on. i took it to a couple shops and they both said i needed a new one. but the dealership is saying that is normal operation for my model. ive never heard this sound and dont believe it is normal. what can i do if it is bad and the dealership wont fix it?

06 forenza, 33k miles, manual

it always clicks. the faster the motor spins, the faster it clicks. but since i got my new ford edge, i dont drive it much. im going to bring it down home for my mom when it gets out of the shop, but im not gonna bring it with a bad compressor

yeah I know it was a stupid question, just had to ask ya know. If it clicks alot I'd listen to the shop mechanics that actually took the time to look and help you. Get them to replace it and send the bill to suzuki. Or raise cain till they fix it under warranty for ya!

Not normal. Sounds like it may be low on R-134 or other issue. But is should cycle every once in a while.

sounds like the clutch in the compressor pulley, it is supposed to click a little during operation as the clutch engages and disengages the pulley. it does this to get better fuel economy and should disengage at wide open throttle. if it is a raped constant click or clicks when the ac is off i would have it looked at. i could just be an electrical problem with a switch or something. if you think the mechanics are shady, take your car some where else, look for signs for certifications. you could also call the better business bureau and ask which shop has the lest complaints
