Default Headlight problem

hey guys, i installed some silverstars on my optra last november, and one of them burnt already so i put the originals back on. I had no problem installing the silverstars, and i thought everything was good with the originals but today as i was driving in the dark i noticed really bad glare... I thought you only had to align the lights if you're using HIDs? I did not have any glare driving with the silverstars. Another thing I noticed is that the chrome piece in front of the bulb itself is not perfectly round on one headlight, it looks really odd, what could have happened?
Thanks in advanced for any help!

Now I want to buy new bulbs, I don't want the silverstars crap that lasted me 9 months. Im thinking either PIAA or Philips... Any opinions on these or other recommendations?

Best part is when your SilverStar is 6 Months old fails and you put your YEAR OLD (when pulled) original one back in and they are exactly the same. Sure it was bright for about two months but in the end NOPE!!! JUNK!!!
