Default How can you check transmission fluid on an 06 forenza?

Hey does anybody know how to check the transmission on an 06 suzuki forenza with out taking it to a dealer. the closest dealer is in another state.

As far as I know the transmissions are sealed, so you can't check it. The theory is that the fluid will last the life of the trans.

Having trans issues?

theres a thread on this youll have to do a search. theres a bolt on the trans you have to take out. you need a special tool to do it but a few people just made one out of a regular socket

oh okay.
umm, ya during take-offs there is a mattalic rattling noise coming from the transmission under low rpm acceleration. but it stops once the rpms get up to about 2500ish. i have no clue what it is.

maybe just one of the exhaust heatsheilds came loose. that happens. sometimes the clamps break and then it rattles. you have to go under the car with a screwdriver or something and see if any of the heat sheilds move, sometimes there still really tight thats why you might need the screwdriver. do this when the car is cool if its the trans i would go right to a mechanic or dealer and have it checked.

alright cool thanks ill go check that out.
but i did take it to a dealer once but they were very uncooperative. and when he heard it he said they all do that, but im not an idiot and i know they all dont make that sound.

okay i just checked the heat shields and none of them were loose so its definatly the transmission. and since i wont be able to go to the dealer anytime soon i guess ill just drive it considering its still under warranty.
