Default Suzuki Forenza front passenger door handle?

OK so I drove home the other day and the passenger in the car didn't realize the door was locked or his own strength. He ended up breaking the handle off the door witch sucks.I was wondering how much it would cost to get fixed by the dealer and or how hard it is to do it yourself?

thanks

Is it the lever of the handle, or is it the stupid green clip inside the door?

If it's the green clip, do it yourself. I used JB Weld and it worked beautifully. Just put the rod back position where it should be on the green clip. JB weld around the rod and the clip assembly (Be careful NOT to JB weld any other moving parts or your door will stick shut until you remove the weld which is a bitch). Let it dry for over 24 hours (don't use the door at all if possible) and it will be fine.

That's the part on my driver door that busted when (somehow) my doors locked by themselves after I opened, then closed the door. I tried to slim jim the door open but busted the plastic clip instead

If it's the lever handle itself, it's also not too hard, a matter of removing a rod from the interior clip and changing out the handle I'd assume (going off recollection while I was looking inside the door). A junk yard might have a totalled vehicle you could pull off for a few bucks.

I try to avoid dealerships at all costs unless it's a warranty issue, you usually end up paying more than double the cost a mom n pop garage would charge.

The handle with little green clip retails for like 14 bucks. Takes me like 15 minutes to change them. Fairly common was not passengers fault.

3/36 have them ALL REPLACED NOW!!! If they have an issue doing it call customer service and tell them you know about the 06 TSB/Customer Satisfaction Recall and let them know they have not apparently fixed it yet.

Should not be a problem. I'd do all 4 no questions.

I agree, we've seen several customers come in and our service writer just goes ahead and has them replace all four of them.

Just a thought for others who are not in 3/36 try getting the CHROME ones. I have only seen one broken ones of those or was that on a Verona????

They were never on the recall........ The chrome ones do not get a chrome bezel and look fine.
