Default 2 Questions

I have two questions for anybody that might have the answers to them.

1. Does the suzuki have a ECM from GM that could be reflashed using software for GM ecu's or is it seperate and would need to be cracked.

2. I was looking at the forenza and does anybody know if the rotors on the forenza are bigger than on the reno. I was looking at the back ones and they just look bigger. but it's been awhile since i had the rear wheels off my reno.

Should be the exact same size on both cars.

i was looking at a one with the wheels off and i just remember my rear discs and calipers being barely there and then i saw the backs on the forenza and the looked like the fronts on my reno and i was thinking i wonder if you could mount a set of front calipers to the rear and increase your stopping power.

I don't know. My guess is you could with some modding to the brake system. But why do you want the back brakes to be as strong as the front ones?

well all cars stock have a really heavy front brake bias and you can even it out a bit to decrease your stopping zone sometimes. Plus the rear calipers and rotors look like they came off a mo-ped.

i think you need a diferent proportioning valve to change the bias too

Does anybody know anything about the ecu. I'm kinda afraid to just start trying to hack the thing with just hopes and dreams behind me. Even if anybody knows if it's used in any other cars or anything. I was wondering if GM might use them in the Cobalt becuase the Cobalt and Lacetti are like distant cousins or if maybe the aveo used a similar setup.

I think your best bet on hacking on the ECU is go to a car dumb and find a destroyed forenza that has a good ECU you can pull. I know there are cables and software you can get/buy so you can hook up a computer to the ECU and have a go at it. As far as actually hacking it your best bet is to look for a forum that covers hacking ECU's.
