at first i had the filter higher in the engine bay, but i wanted to see if i could feel a difference. i did not, but i did notice i got about 1mpg more down low. the only direct line to my filter is that tiny little hole where the optional fog light goes. but that is not even a direct shot to the filter. and i am planing on making a block off or something to stop water from even getting near the filter. either way you are going to have a louder engine between 3-6.5 rpm. it sounds almost like you have exhaust when you get on the throttle. i like it. i don't know how the bms sounds, but i would imagine it would sound close to the same.
And even if you decide to later on you got some options. and i'll let you know if that block off helps/works.
