My 06 Forenza usually gets 24-26 per gal on mixed driving. Can squeeze out 28 on straight highway driving. Find it strange but it sees no difference between 80 & 60 mph on highway if I can hold it constant.

Oh my, 16 mpg? Clogged air filter. clogged cabin filter?

I improved mine mileage by having the cabin filter replaced. My cabin filter was terrible!

i never checked the cabin filter... i'll check that.. but i checked the air filter, i could see light coming through the little bends... i think i better get it to the dealership to be checked.. warantee ends in 2 weeks...

I have an 08' with just over 15k miles on it, I got it at 7k and have only had it 5 months. I have a cold air intake, better grounding wires, and ghetto exhaust system (aka a cherry bomb muffler and flex pipe). I get 28mpg mix city and highway driving around D.C. (based on the stock exhaust, I just put the exhaust on this weekend). I also had to change my spark plugs because they were fuel fowled at 14k miles. And finally I run with petroleum based (non synthetic) oil.
