Default Mileage

i have an 05 forenza wagon and i too have had A LOT of problems with this car. It's always something every month or so. I think I've spent more on fixing it then what I bought it for (I did buy it used btw). My forenza has 68,600 miles on it, BUT only 8,000 of that is on the engine it currently has (the car's 2nd engine, the first died at 60,000). So far i have had to replace the timing belt and water pump (covered under recall), serpentine belt (twice), alternator, radiator reserve tank, belt pulley, and the engine. The engine was covered under warranty. In my opinion that's WAY too much!

I bought my reno brand spankin' new in the middle of 2006. Drove it off the lot with 156 miles on it(they had to drive it to my dealer from another city). I just recently broke 30k miles last month and I haven't had any problems caused by wear or misuse.

You guys have to realize that this is a low budget car. If the makers put a shit-ton of effort into the quality and engineering, you would have paid a lot more for the car. You also have to realize that each one of our cars has been treated differently. Not one of our cars has been on the exact same roads at the exact same speeds at the exact same temperature. I'm not saying you guys didn't/don't take care of your cars, but it definitely increases the life of the car.

I mean, seriously...If you pay 14k for a brand new base model Reno/Forenza, you shouldn't expect it to run/drive/handle/hold up like a car that's worth twice as much. If you're just going to complain about it, then sell it and buy a different car.

I have no complaints about my car. You get what you pay for and I definitely am happy with my purchase. Knock it all you want, but I love my car and would absolutely buy another GM-Holden/Suzuki/Daewoo

Default New Forenza

I have a new 08 Forenza with 1350 miles on it. So far I am getting around 26 mpg. So far I would say it is a good car and gets better mileage than indicated on the sticker.
