Im new to the forum, but doing private investigation throughout the southeast has put 130000 miles on my forenza. Thankfully, I have never actually had a breakdown due to faulty parts. I conduct surveillance and treat my car with synthetic oil and change spark plugs, air filters on a regular basis. Oh and get this, I get about 33-34 mpg (I drive slower than usual on the highway).

I noticed that after I put Higher air in the tires mine picked up some mpg mostly city driving but its still better then what it used to be.

Has anybody tried the coolant bypass on the throttle body? I've tried it but I am not really seeing any real improvements as far as mpg on my 04 forenza. Does this only work on the models with the newer throttle body design?

Only 33k miles on my 04 Forenza, given that i never used it past driving to school (5 miles back and forth total) and around the surrounding city.

As for tire pressure, i just do 33psi. I get freaked out my tires will explode if i drive too fast with high pressure -.-

I've got 10K on my 08 Forenza and 11K on my 07 Forenza, I havne't really paid tha tmuch attention to the gas mileage though as I'm used to getting 6 MPG in my Chrysler so anything better is awesome lol.
