The NB recall is accessed through the instrument cluster and 3 purple wires cut and spliced together with a butt splice connector that has not only the mechanical crimp, but heat shrink wrapper with adhesive and even solder. Fancy HUH!!! The closest you get to the PS is lowering the steering wheel to the full down position to get the bezel trim and the cluster out.

Depending on year the other recalls are
KF - Brake Switch (under dash in and out)
KQ - Water Pump Timing Belt inspection/replacement (90+% require replacement) (No power steering interference)
KY - Seat Belt Buckle (No need for comment)
KS - Inside Door release handles (Black trim only) (once again no need for comment)

Not had one come loose but if others have might look into it more. We get too much corrosion out here so might be the difference.

yea, i was thinking that myself exactly. how does power steering have to do with the fking valve covers?

i guess they were doing some inspection for maintenence, because they were trying to get me to do the 30k mile service on my car, which i didnt need, because i dont drive very often and i know how to take care of my car.

i guess this teaches me to check the car myself AFTER it gets worked on. i dont want this annoying crap to happen again. -__-

well, nothing wrong with the timing belt YET... it was the serpentine belt that they said 'was cracked and needed to be replaced.' my dad and i looked at it afterwards, and it wasnt cracked more than 1mm; and since i'm at college and i dont bring my car with me, i RARELY use it for driving, therefore removing the need to service the car immediately. :X

but yeah, if that timing belt decides to do something out of the ordinary, i might as well search for a new car ;__;
