Default reno 07 rpms go down.

I was driving all day yesterday at nite time stopped by the store to get food get back in to the car it started shaking rpms go almost all they way down. And then check engine light came on. Parked my car towed it to dealership today they haven't looked at it yet, neither gave me a loaner

So my question has anyone experienced same prblm? And if someone know what it is and will my warranty cover it???

Thank you.

Most likely the warrantly would cover any problems like that. When the engine light came on, was it flashing or steady?

first it started flashing and then became steady. What can it be though?

Well flashing CEL can indicate a misfire. This problem sounds similar to something that has happened to me and a few other guys. If you had a code scanner you could check what code came up. For me it was "P0342 Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Low Input ". On my car it was intermittent so it would only happen once in a while and it would start shaking and shuddering like you describe. I took it to the dealer, and they confirmed that was the problem and replaced the sensor on warranty.

Misfires are caused by only a few things...

messed up spark
messed up fuel
messed up air

My immediate thought would be around the idle air controller or driver-by-wire... perhaps the engine is being starved because the TPS isn't working correctly and shutting everything too much.

Good point about the drive by wire Audacity. My 2004 doesn't have that, so it didn't come to mind. In my case the cam position sensor was actually faulty and causing occasional extreme misfires, altho it would go away for a while if I turned it off and then back on. It also triggered a flashing CEL and code "P0300 Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire "

Could the spark plugs just be dirty? Or one of them is dead?
