Hey everybody!

I was reading some of the posts and I feel bad about the flashing lights that people were getting. I asked my dealership because they to had no idea how to disable the DRL's and when I told them about the lights they said that it maybe more than the disabling of the DRL's??? I know that when the plug was put back in the lights shut off? The dealer said that the flashing hold button is for the transmision, nothing really to do with the lights but that is what they said. I did the modification on a 2005 Forenza EX wagon and now for 2 weeks nothing, no flashing lights and I can choose to use just my fog lights or my HID's. So I hope that your problem goes away and you can enjoy not having the DRL's. I hope that I helped most people and for those it didn't work for sorry.

Dennis
Same here.

I think they might of removed the wrong wire

Yeah dude, I have a Reno and it's an Auto. No issues from the first time out. A question though, the first time you removed it, was the car running at the time? How about the headlight switch, was that on?

If neither one, then just chalk it up as a fluke and be glad all is running well. The good news it that if anyone else has the same problem as you, there's a possible solution!

Has anyone figured out if you can change what lights are used as the DRLs? I would prefer my fogs were the DRLs.

I think I'll have to look at the schematics myself, because I also don't like the way the low beams turn off when you turn on the high beams. I find it leaves a huge "hole" in your field of vision.

So which color wire(s) would you wire a switch to if you wanted to toggle the DRL's on and off?
