there are a TON of roads up here like that. almost buying it is the fun part unless you do buy it . I'll talk to some local guys and see what they think is a good run too and we'll put some things together.

That would be sweet. I think about Mid summer would be good perhaps Beginning of June or End of July. Even if I don't end up with a Woo or Zuki can I go and bring my team too? Would be a fun event. How about running the roads, planned meals along the route, after event fun (BBQ, Campgrounds, whatever) Perhaps line it up during a time that a local drag strip or SCCA event is happening.

that's kinda where i was headed in respect to US-421. The best part of 421 starts AT THE ENTRANCE to bristol dragway. they offer tuesday and thursday night street fights for 5 bucks entrance fee. it would be a good run for that, or the elizabethton scca meet is usually in early june, and the sam's gap hill climb is in mid-june... so there are TONS of things we could do as far as racing goes.

for the hill climb i'll probably take my hyabusa powered fiat 600

stock weight of the fiat is 1300 pounds (wet weight), if you remove 250 pounds for the engine/transaxle and then cut away un-necessary weight (fuel tank, spare, drum brakes, etc)... you can get it to 900-1000 wet, add 300 for driver and gear and it's a beast

Sure, all members welcome even if they drive a dodge
I doubt by that time that I will have a turbo on the car but I would love to run against a turbo neon in the curvy stuff, where I hope the speed sensitive power steering and the mac struts might level the playing field a little.

Amen to that!

I'll be in NC in two weeks (for good) so it's something that I'd be most interested in. I've never played on a road like that.

BBQ, Poker, anything would be kick **** to me. The best part would be meeting all the faces behind the names. Count me in if it's any time after May (gotta settle in and such)

there are plenty of places along all these routes with little picnic and bbq spaces (those little fireboxes). someone bring bbq supplies (charcoal, etc), someone bring meats, someone bring some chips, and someone brings drinks, etc... sounds like a fun trip!
