I'm thinkering with the idea of doing the same to my car, but I fear the wrapping might me keeping water (from condensation) in permanent contact with the line... and that I'll be stuck with a huge bill later to replace a rusted line.
Tinting the rear windows on mine did a huge difference. So I might skip that one just to be on the safe side.

Well, how much would that line cost? even for labor? I can't see it costing $100
Unfortunately, here in Canada, we can't buy R134a in cans at the local Wally World... We need certified people to manipulate the stuff. 100$ is the amount charged to only refill en empty system, let alone fix a leak.
But the comment about the foam keeping the condensation out might be making sense... if there's no heat around the pipe, no more condensation.
I did that to my car today, and let me say that it actually works. It is cold and working great! I couldn't believe how much colder it got...wow! I think that everyone should try it!
ok guys here is what i had in mind when this whole thing about the wrap started and posted that web site. I bought some heat shround.
you know that stuff that is made of hi-temp fiberglass fabric that is bounded to and aluminized material.
and let me tell you guys that it makes a big diffrence i took me 15 min to do it the most work i have to do was cut the heat shroud to size and the best part is that it has velcro so i just wraps around and bam you are done....cost me 29 dollars but what it that you guys paid around the same and took you guys a little longer to install unless i dont remember correctly.... well here are some pics of what it look's like

Very nice job!
Yeah I spent about $25. But I've got the insul and then alum tape over that, so I'm doubled up. I can tell you, I don't get 34 deg though. Then again, it's been 90+ out lately and I haven't checked it on a cool day. Best I've seen is 43, but at that temp I'm freezing in there.
