2006 SUZUKI RENO FUSES LUXURY FEATURES AND VERSATILITY AT A VALUE-PACKED PRICE

Five-door Utility, Italian Styling and a Lower MSRP Help Keep Reno on Top of Compact Car Buyers’ Shopping Lists

Ming: Note new pull-style door handles

BREA, Calif. (August 22, 2005) - Newly revised this year, the 2006 Reno uses its Italian styling, full-feature content, finely honed performance and aggressive pricing to distance itself from its competitors.

Key changes for 2006 include a simplified model strategy, reduced base sticker price of $13,199, and the addition of Convenience and Premium Packages that contain upgraded equipment. Add in America’s #1 Warranty, and the Reno pulls ahead of the competition.

The 2006 Reno is powered by an energetic 2.0-liter, four-cylinder, 16-valve DOHC engine with 127 horsepower and includes an impressive array of standard amenities. Features include tilt steering wheel, power windows and door locks, dual sun visors with vanity mirrors, remote fuel door release and premium features like an AM/FM/CD/cassette stereo with eight speakers, air conditioning with micron air-filtration system, and even heated power side mirrors. A five-speed manual transmission is standard, with a smooth four-speed electronically controlled automatic with gated shifter and "hold" mode switch offered as an option.

The Reno is now available with an optional Convenience Package priced at $14,149. The package includes MP3 audio capability, leather-wrapped steering wheel, steering-wheel-mounted audio controls, power tilt-and-slide sunroof, remote keyless entry and electronic cruise control. The Reno with Premium Package is the top of the line for 2006. At $15,299, this package contains everything in the Convenience Package, plus new 15-inch alloy wheels, fog lights, a rear spoiler and four-channel anti-lock brake system (ABS) with electronic brake-force distribution (EBD). That means that even when fully equipped, the 2006 Reno comes in well under $17,000.

It brings up the forenza, but you can click on Reno once you bring the page up and see the spoiler.

LOL - must be something people can overlook when they are financing and adding SWT options.

Good thing I am happy with my '05 Reno. I bought it last year because the fall of the dollar looked imminent, and I didn't want to end up spending hundreds (or thousands) more this year.

Call me fool. I am.

Since we are seeing a few qc issues popping up, I feel lucky I got one of the better ones. Other than a funny slow throttle on shift (just for the power user), it's living up to its claims. Nothing has broken yet, either.

Even without the ABS brakes, I was (lucky, I'm a fool, remember?) able to avoid hitting a flock of loose sheep on a rainy downhill highway with nowhere but a canyon to bail. The heel of my hand went straight to the giant emergency button, and further disaster was averted.

That's quite a story, lucky you are indeed!
