I just sent them an e-mail asking them if their custom CAI's are California legal and if any of the pipes come with a hole for the air sensor. I will post their response if I get one.

I looked at the parts locally and the part that is labeled manifold has several holes around it. It comes with plugs in the holes from the factory you just remove the ones you want to use. There is also the vacuum/sensor adapter kit.

As for the Cali. legal I don't know what the requirements are there. I think it would all depend on how it is setup. Hopefully you will get a good answer from the company though.

I highly doubt they are.. i think that CA has to test them and whatnot and they come with a special sticker or something to proves they are legal.. but there are so many different designs you could do so i doubt it

I got a reply from the company. They includes a picture of a pipe for the air value and it has three holes in it. Each hole is a different size and it comes with plugs. Their CAI's are not California Emissions legal. So I can throw this one out the door.

This is not actually a link for parts just a thought for those wishing to turbo for cheap.

Since any turbo install will have to be a complete custom job here a thought that might make it a little more affordable. By a used turbo and use it for mock up and setup and when you can send it off and get it rebuilt. You can even find already rebuilt turbos online at several places.

I visited my local "you pull it" wrecking yard and there are several mid80's to late 90's dodge/chrysler turbos in there and the want about $100 USD. The early 90's ones were the best and you may even find one with an intercooler in the car that might be usable. There would be piping that you could buy with the intercooler and cut in the straights and use hose to swivel the angles into a different direction that would be usable. There are several turbo upgrades for the chrylser systems. If you setup your car for one and wanted to buy another turbo just unbolt one and bolt in the other one that would be possible. Of course other modifications to the engine might be necessary. Fuel system/pistons&compression ratio/ignition system etc.

The other turbos that would be of interest and were made for a smaller engine and would probably spool up faster than the chrysler turbo for more low end power. The subaru turbos for the gl-10 I don't think any of these came with an intercooler but I could be wrong. I looked at one of these that was already pulled. I thought the size and look of the subaru turbo might work well. I don't know what the max psi. the subaru turbo would make one page I read a post by a guy and he said that hp. dropped off after 5psi. I think that might be due to the lack of an intercooler and feeding a 1.8 with all it can take.

I wish I had the money and didn't need the warranty on my car I would love to start some modifications like this.

That was the first models of the mopar turbos. I agree they did have problems I have heard of this. These turbos also only had a max boost of 7psi.
Those would most likely be the
CHRYSLER New Yorker 84-87 2.2L GAR TB0335
CHRYSLER Town & Country 84-87 2.2L GAR TB0335
DODGE 600 85-87 2.2L GAR TB0335
DODGE Daytona Shelby 84-87 2.2L GAR TB0335
DODGE Lancer 85-87 2.2L GAR TB0335
DODGE Omni 85-87 2.2L GAR TB0335---this model I owned...
DODGE Shadow 87 2.2L GAR TB0335
PLYMOUTH Caravelle 85-87 2.2L GAR TB0335
PLYMOUTH Sundance 87 2.2L GAR TB0335
from what I could find that turbo never found it's way into the labaron.

If you are looking to turbo most of their later turbo's were also water cooled which helped with the idling before shut down thats why I recommended the early 90's turbo's. Could install a turbo timer for this purpose for about $85.00
better late 80's early 90's turbo include
CHRYSLER LeBaron 89-92 2.5L MHI TE04H
CHRYSLER LeBaron 88 2.5L MHI TE04H
CHRYSLER New Yorker 88 2.5L MHI TE04H
CHRYSLER Town & Country 88 2.2L MHI TE04H
DODGE 600 88 2.5L MHI TE04H
DODGE Aries 88 2.2L MHI TE04H
DODGE Caravan 89-90 2.5L MHI TE04H
DODGE Daytona 89-92 2.5L MHI TE04H
DODGE Daytona Shelby 88 2.2L MHI TE04H
DODGE Lancer 89 2.5L MHI TE04H
DODGE Lancer 88 2.5L MHI TE04H
DODGE Shadow 89-92 2.5L MHI TE04H
DODGE Shadow 88 2.5L MHI TE04H
DODGE Spirit 89-92 2.5L MHI TE04H
PLYMOUTH Acclaim 89-92 2.5L MHI TE04H
PLYMOUTH Caravelle 88 2.5L MHI TE04H
PLYMOUTH Sundance 89-92 2.5L MHI TE04H
PLYMOUTH Sundance 88 2.5L MHI TE04H
PLYMOUTH Voyager 89-90 2.5L MHI TE04H
I apologize if the Liter are crossed on any of these years. You can tell by the manufactures marks on the turbos.
The turboII models had intercoolers starting in 88 I believe.

There are other turbo models used on some models of chrysler cars not mentioned above.
CHRYSLER Shelby CSX-Daytona/Baron GTC/Shadow ES 89-90 2.2L GAR TB03 VNT (variable nozzle)
This one was suppose to be hot buy acting like a small turbo and change the fins at higher turbo speed to act like a large turbo but if dirt it would stick which wasn't good.

You could try and find a toyota turbo ct26 they were made by toyota. I heard that trying to modify this turbo to work with anything else would be tough but that would probably consist of making a custom flange. These were used on about all the turbo toyota models.
Also if jumping to buy a toyota turbo double check before you buy, the toyota camry DIESEL was turboed it is a ct20 you don't want this one.

The mazda turbo's are the made by IHI and I think from what I can find this is the same part number turbo that the gl-10 subaru uses. There are two turbo's that match the rhb52w and one is only recommended for 1.0l-1.5l engines. The other is specified for 1.4l-2.2l IHI VC-32 which is also water cooled.
MAZDA 626, MX6 88-92 2.2L IHI RHB52W
MAZDA 323 GTX turbo 88-89 1.6L IHI RHB52W (water)
FORD T-Bird 87-88 (water) IHI RHB52
FORD Probe GT 88-92 2.2L IHI RHB52W

You could even possibly get a mitsu. MHI td25 or td04 or td05 to work also if you can find one.
MITSUBISHI Galant (Auto) 88-94 2.2L MHI TD04
PLYMOUTH Laser (Auto) 89-94 2.0L MHI TD04
PLYMOUTH Laser (Manual) 89-94 2.0L MHI TD05H
MITSUBISHI 3000GT VR4 - 2x MHI TD04H
MITSUBISHI Eclipse (Manual) 95-98 2.0L MHI T25 (45 trim)
MITSUBISHI Eclipse (Auto) 90-94 2.2L MHI TD04
MITSUBISHI Eclipse (Manual) 90-94 2.2L MHI TD05H
EAGLE Talon (Manual) 90-94 2.0L MHI TD05H (45 trim)
EAGLE Talon (Auto) 90-95 2.0L MHI TD04
EAGLE Talon (Manual) 95-98 2.0L MHI T25 (45 trim)
CHRYSLER Laser (Auto) 90-94 2.2L MHI TD04
CHRYSLER Laser (Manual) 90-94 2.2L MHI TD05H

There are also Volvo turbos out there those were designed for a 2.3l engine and may have more lag than desired.

I was just recommending a turbo that was very popular and easy to find for about everyone. Chrysler sold a lot of these cars for many years. I wouldn't wish blowing a turbo or blowing an engine on anyone sorry if I wasn't more specific hopefully this will help for all those looking for some info.

Came across a part for the Reno that some might be interested in.
X-Pel Headlight Protection
$59.95 /pr

http://www.autoanything.com/products/produ....aspx?p_id=1218

I have checked several other sites and this is the cheapest I can find.

Not that I have ever broke a headlight on any vehicle I've ever owned.

Not sure if this is a cut it yourself kit or not.

I was looking into clear car bra's.

They have a small selection of SWT items for the reno and quite a few other random add ons for other suzuki models...the reno items are mostly geared towards protection, a bra, cargo netting for the hatch, a bumper hatch guard, etc.

The Forenza Motor Sports site isn't there, and the guys at 360 Dynamics told me after I inquired about the Cold air Intake that FMS is out of business
