Hey, just removed mine lastnight. This is pretty much getto style, but it worked nicely. Very, very carefully slide a very thin but stiff blade into the seam between the large center section and the rest of the dash. "It is held in place with simple snap tabs, no screws" Started on the left side, pried it out a little till i heard a gentle snap/pop, then went to the other side, and worked it there as well. The key is to be gentle, working it back and forth. With mine I didnt want to mess with the A/C controls, so I never actaully pried the whole cover off, maybe got it off 4 inches at the top. This is plenty. On either side of the deck are 2 philips/bolts, remove these, you can just get a screw driver in there. The radio as a L shaped bracket on either side, you need to pull the radio out a inch or two to access the 2 philips screws attaching these to the radio. once you get these off, the radio will simply slide out, through the silver bezel. I never had access to an adaptor for the harness, so I had to do the NASTY, and cut the wires. I cut them very close to the deck, but still left enough room to allow the radio to be re-installed in friends ride. There is a small wiring diagram on the top of the deck, but its a little sketchy, or I'm just daft at reading it. We re-installed the new deck, and wow!, its a JVC mp3/cd deck I got from best buy 2 years ago, now the car has amazing sound, through the stock speakers. big, BIG difference! When you hook up the new unit, the thick orange wire is actually your constant positive +"for clock memory", there are 2 yellow wires, one is a speaker wire the other is your main positive +. The speakers wires were trial an error, once you have power to the unit, its not hard to figure them out. There are also 2 black/white ground wires, I only used on and it works fine. All in all there were about 4 extra wires, I believe these were for other options available but not applicable to my unit. Hope this helps.
