Alto GLS 1.1 2003 jumping out of gear
Hello, can anyone help me with a problem I have with my suzuki alto. The car has 80,000 miles on the clock and it has just started to jump out of 5th gear. I would have assumed it was the gearbox being faulty, however when selecting 5th the gear lever seems to come halfway out of gear so to speak. IE when you let go of the leaver it pops back a bit and when you try to push it back in to gear you get the sensation that you have just pushed it fully back into gear. The car seems to drop out when its not under load, or just as the gas is released. When its pulling it mostly stays put. There are no Haynes manuals on these cars which is adding to the frustration! This car is built in india by Maurati/suzuki....... is this good of bad?
