i have a 2005 suzuki forenza (automatic)...and lets just say i get the shittiest gas mileage...ive changed my oil and spark plugs about 2 weeks ago...got a new air filter...now i should be getting better gas mileage if im not mistaken...but in my case...i D0NT! any ideas as to why i get crappy gas mileage...or is it just because this car is crap...=/
i seem to get pretty good mileage, gotta fill it up about every week or so, i got a lead foot though so i could do better if i didnt stomp it alot, but ya it could be the car. im not to particular to the suzuki anymore, will still keep it cause its a 4 door and good to have around but gonna have to buy another car for racing, this car just isnt good enough. got sights on a 300zx turbo (moded) or a del sol (heavy mods)

How is the car not good enough? Stock motor can take 250whp+ and the handling is great with coilovers and good tires. The parts are available to build it for 400whp. What else are you looking for? The best part is that no one expects it to be fast :P

i say go for the 300zx turbo simply because its bad ass...and existence how does your car do on gas?
All depends on how much I press the gas peddle lol. If I drive it gently and don't go into boost I get around 25MPG (9.5L/100km) city + highway combined. If I drive like my normal style, then I average around 19MPG (12.5L/100km). This is using highest octane available here, 94 from Sunoco.

oh ya i didnt even answer you question from before lol but i can get about 26 to 28 if im good about not stepping on it. but i use alot of gas anyways cause i drive at least 30 to 50 miles a day during the week if not more.
ya ill probably go for the 300zx cause i just love the body style and its pretty modded, coilovers, stage 1 clutch, short shifter, racing bushings in motors mounts and suspension, and plus its my friends and hes in a bind lol. and ya if i REALLY wanted to take a few years off of me trying to build the forenza i would but this car has given me nothing but crap, just trying to put the bms intake on i stayed up till 5am to find a nut that would fit the L mount bolt and i still havent gotten that fixed, its 14mm and i have a 1/2 nut on it right now thats only down snug with a drop or 2 of locktite on it, thats why i cant sell the car now unless i find some idiot to buy it.
For some of the stuff that you'll need you can find it on ebay, or you can ask the moderator of the forum he runs a website that makes performance parts for suzuki cars...but it won't be cheap...for manual cars you'll have to get a new 6speed transmission because the stock 5speed won't be able to handle boost...get a new clutch cause that as well probably won't be able to handle boost, intake, headers, exhaust, turbo kit...if your car is an automatic your first project would have to be converting your car to a manual transmission which isn't a very easy task either...also better internals to make the car run better once its running boost...and if you really wanted you could even run nitrous...hey existence how big is your turbo? & how much boost are you running these days?
