Default Steering on Reno?

The reno's reviews for turning and handling have been less than great. Everytime I turn a corner, I have to slow down more because the car feels like its going to roll and/or slide out from underneath me (which I know it wont but it just doesnt feel right). Is there anything I can do, other than getting different tires, that will improve this?
