Default Cheap CAI

I was messing arround online on the search of a decent but cheap CAI for my Reno because my old intake cracked. (I made a short ram using pvc pipe, and It worked really well but didnt have a way to secure it to the car.) So I came across one that looked like it would work. it is for the Eclipse 01-05 gs rs link: eBay Motors: 00-05 Eclipse GS RS 4 CYL Cold Air Intake 01 02 03 04 (item 180267452776 end time Jul-24-08 22:56:15 PDT)

With very little modification i got the intake to fit! Here are the things that had to be done in order for it work:

-Cut away the insert for the crank case breather hose on the shorter pipe and with a dremel make the hole bigger to where the sensor can fit.(you will have to buy a little air filter for the crank case brether, i got it for $10).
-Modify the aluminum bracket provided to hold, secure the intake.
-Cut the end of the longer pipe, so that it become straight so you can fit the air filter.I used aK&N cone filter instead of the crappy one they sent.

I liked the CAI better than the short ram I had, felt an increased acc.
So for about $45.00 you can have a very decent CAI system!
when I get a chance I`ll post pics.

bms is the best/most efficient intake for our car. they put extensive research into design and specifically chose the material its made of du to its heat dispertion properties. better than the aluminum and certanly better than the cheapo ones who even knows what there made with. also the intake is the best bang for your buck upgrade there is. this is the same intake they use on the rally reno. there tons of parts available for the reno/forenza from bolt ons to internals and suspention
