Smile I'm searching A/T rebuilt kits...

I newly signed up this forum today...

I'm driving Lacetti 1.5D A/T @0.6 bar(8.7PSI) from June 2006.
But the tranny is not tunned and still remains OEM.
However, I have not been surffered engine & A/T troble yet.

Meantime, A/Ts of my friends who have installed same turbo setting, have died all in 1.5 year since the turbo install and they swapped A/T to M/T or new A/T.
But replacing new A/T is not good choice because the new A/T will died soon.
So, my friend replaced with new A/T 3 times in a month, and now he is driving very carefully & nervous without full-boosting & 3th or 2nd kick-down.

But in my case, tranny is still alive with no problem.
Now I concerned mission trouble in near future, and I'm concering A/T rebuilt with Heavy duty torque converter & clutches.
Unfortunetly, in Korea, there is no mission tunning parts or mission tuner shop for Lacetti.
So, I'am searching the parts in overseas parts maker.

If anyone knows mission tunning parts for Lacetti A/T(Aisin 81-40LE), please give me information.

Thanks.

I also have a turbo Lacetti, welcome to the forums. I have the 5 spd D20 manual gearbox (I have broken two of them), and will soon be switching to the 6spd F28 box. Unfortunately I don't have any suggestions for your A/T problems....

But I would like to know more about your setup....... can you post more details and any pictures too?

Hi...

F28 would be a good matching with lacetti.

One of my firends has broken mission 2 times, too... ^^
And he installed 6-spd F28 on 2.2 turbo @0.8bar(11.6psi). (engine swap + semi cam)
Its power is almost 300HP and top speed is over 270km/h. monster...

I will post my setup & pictures soon...

Have you looked into intimidator?

I installed turbo charger at intimidator. ^^
But... intimidator cannot modify or tune-up A/T, just can M/T.
Recently, intimidator tried to set up 5-spd A/T (Epica A/T) on Lacetti for 3 months, but failed....
Besides the owner of the Lacetti raised claim and intimidator is suffering big trouble.
So, I'm searching rebulit kits and other tuner shop who can rebuild A/T.

Cool!

Well I don't have any more advice. Not too many people fix up the a/t. Sorry!

Question, are you running with the stock ECU unit? If so you may want to put in an aftermarket one. Because the stock ECU for the A/T has an "AI" in it and I am guessing it may be killing the tranny because of the boost the engine is getting.

hmm... I don't think so.
Surely I'm using stock ECU, but it has been re-mapped for turbo charged engine.
And my car is running almost 2 years without engine & A/T trouble.
Just I concerned A/T trouble in future and I would like to prepare countermeasure in advance...
