Exclamation Tranny slip out of second gear

it is a more recent problem as this shifter ball sheds plastic in the gear box. i was wondering if anyone else had the problem or just me. it might be my falut because i am kinda hard on it but it still don't need to be plastic.

I have this problem but only on accasion.. It always pops forward a bit but only completely breaks out of the slot every once in a while... Could we put something else in to hold it better? This is something Id really like to fix.

Hmm strange...I'd think it's normal because I can't see a defect that would causethat being. Shifting hard probably isn't causing it.

My short shifter is identical to the OE shifter below the life up reverse we use.

I may not be understanding you correctly but the only difference on my short shifter is the lift up reverse and up. The piece you lift up to put it into reverse is metal.
