Are you sure it's low RPMs and not just lower RPMs at lower speeds (i.e not above say 2nd gear)? That'd make sense to me since it's a SRI it'd suck in all the hot air being next to the engine untill you get some air flowing.

Setup for just an intake or overall?
Best intake=BMS CAI which you can order from me. They're on back order for less than a week right now.

You can use it as either a CAI or SRI...so say you're worried about sucking up water you can take off the extra length, and swap the filter to the first peice for a SRI for that time of year.
Yup saw the BMS, but not sure if it will fit my set-up as this model comes with the VGIS just after the throttle body. The intake pipe connects side way whereas the BMS uses a plenum and connects from the top.

Here's a picture of the stock intake:-

Well from what I heard most of the gains are supposed to be in the higher range but with this set up I felt it from the get go, but then again the stock system was so constricted I'm not suprised.

Any worries with the bigger open filter that the throttle body might get foul with dirt and etc?

it's pretty much the same thing only more surface area so more air through the larger tube wich also increases the mass of air, not to mention that less friction means less heat so more O2 baby.

Do you have the 1.3-1.6?

I still might be able to help you, but nothing as good as the BMS intake

Optra here is the 1.6 cc using the E-TEC engine with DOHC. For Aveo it's using the 1.4cc DOHC variant. Both engine is from the Korean plant.

I can still help you then.

Can you get a picture of your engine bay for me?

I just bought a 1.6 lanos that has a custom intake that I won't need since I'm swapping a 2.0 into it. It has the same setup, and maybe the same engine as your optra. Do you know your engine code? Depending on how nice the intake is, I'd like around $45 for it.

There is an weapon r intake system available, but it'll cost about $250usd to ship to you. I think it's only a short ram too...you'd be better off doing just about anything else tbh. haha
