Default Resonator Overkill?

Next week I will have the stock '07 Reno exhaust removed and my homemade exhaust installed. I've gathered and assembled all of the components together and it was supposed to be a DIY job, but I've decided that it'd be better to take it into a shop for them to install all of the necessary hangers and stuff (it's not a featherweight exhaust). Anyway, the exhaust consists of a hi-flow cat, two Cherry Bomb glass-pack mufflers, and SS flexible exhaust tubing running out to a straight-thru performance muffler w/ a 3.5" outlet. The reason I opted for two glass-packs is because I don't want the obnoxious Civic fart-can sound w/ the straight-thru muffler. I see/hear them all day long and they annoy me. So, I figured that having two glass-packs as resonators would greatly muffler the sound, but do you also think that having TWO resonators will impede performance at all? I mean, the port diameters of the cat, resonators, and mufflers are all 2.25", which is noticeably larger than the stock 1 7/8ths diameter, so I was assuming that it wouldn't be that harmful for performance, but what do you all think? Are my assumptions correct?

p.s. - sorry that my post is so "wordy".

I dont think it'll hurt much if at all, what I am curious is why a cherry bomb glass pack? I hear bad things, Say you smack it with a hammer (wich your not going to do) they will just shatter, its fiber glass I believe so if something did find a way to hit it, then its bye bye.. not sure tho but maybe someone has something to add to my assumption on glass packs.

If all the resonators are straight thru there should be no negative performance impacts.

OK, good. That's what I wanted to hear.

And in response to glass-packs, I actually have a cherry bomb and a flowtech "red hots" glass-pack muffler. They are both the same length, diameter, and color. Additionally, they both are made of thick steel, so I seriously doubt that any hypothetical manual hammer could shatter either one of them. And as for the fiberglass material, it's not the same form of glass that we use everyday. Instead, it's tiny glass particles that are woven into a wool-like matter, and is used to absorb/dampen the sound waves. And even this fiberglass material is embedded between the outer steel shell of the resonator and the perforated inner-barrel of the muffler. I think what you've heard was either from a misinformed individual or maybe an event that occurred with an older design glass-pack. But thanks anyway for looking out!

If your not happy with your system and wanna chance it go magnaflow all the way. HI-flow CATS, resonator, mufflers... there basic hi-flow CATs are amazing and cheap but if you wanna go all out (They're like $300-$550 I think) they have some crazy HI-flow CATS that still does the emissions job.

Well, I just got back in town and the cat finally arrived. I bolted it up with SS band clamps to an 18" SS pipe (2.25" ID) and then the Flowtech glasspack, and then the SS 2.25" ID flexible tubing. I decided to go w/ just one glasspack, as the Cherry Bomb has a 9˚ angle bend on each end that would just make things complicated for such a long exhaust. I will be selling the Cherry Bomb and some SS band clamps if anyone on here is interested in doing their own project. I'll sell it for very cheap, too. Just let me know. Anyway, I'm going to take it up to Midas in the morning and have them pull out the old stuff and reinstall the new stuff w/ the proper hangers. I'll let you know know how it goes.
