Default More power!!!!

2008 Forenza???

I want power like the 2008 SX4(143-150hp) out of a 2008 Forenza.

Cold Air or drop-in K&N for sure. Is there a big difference between either one??
ECU piggy for an auto..do they make one for the auto??

No exhaust unless its quiet. So that might be out of the question.
Any help for the noob here would be great.

I just like the performance of the SX4 just have a Forenza instead..lol

cost wise the ud pully resonable at 199 for that much hp gain.

The pully is more dynamic then the others, and you usually just see 5 HP freed up. Then again, it'll allow your RPMs to drop more normaly

heres a quick list to get you closer to the "swifts" numbers

grounds : 50 bucks or less

cold air intake(preferably the BMS) : $50-$200

2.25" or 2.5" exhaust starting at the flex pipe with a straight resonator and a straight muffler : $500+

UD pulley(highly reccomended) : $200

overall, you'll spend about a grand to get somewhere between 145-160 hp...as far as the piggyback goes, it doesn't matter if it's auto or manual. if you want a sleeper, get internals and an ECU and you'll push 160hp pretty easily.

No chips, our ECU is too hard to crack into but it's pretty good and you won't see many gains by touching it unless your running allot of hp N/A or running Forced induction.

The highest power #s seen is 245whp and 265wtq or somewhere around there but he had to bring it back down to ~200 untill he figures out what he wants to do with the tranny to get it to withstand that power.

Referring to me? sounds like it.... I had 230whp / 245ft lbs ..... no nitrous, stock motor. Seems the stock D20 tranny can only take somewhere around 200 ft lbs to the wheels reliably (daily driven). I'm sure I could get more for a few blasts on the dyno before anything happens
