Hey Kenny, just a point of clarification. We spent a number of hours on the flow bench figuring out the design of the BMS CAI tubing. The 'plenum' mentioned previously does have a purpose. The volume of the plenum acts as a reservoir which compensates for sudden pressure drop when a driver requests wot. There is also a small notch in the plenum which helps to direct air into the intake (during mid to high rpm range) in addition to the lower plenum design/lip contributing to a 'tumble effect' as air enters the intake manifold.
I'm sure it may look a little different to some (when compared to an AEM or similar), and there are plenty of ideas out there that will work also. Our design was the result of an engineering design approach which included feedback from flow analysis (both virtual and on the bench), customers and on-course rally racing.

Having dealt with these cars since '02 (pre-pre-production) helped a little too

rally on...

Designing EVs tends to take a while

I never heard of carbon fiver being used for CAI as I did not think the physical properties allows for such use. But I be interested in seeing a dyno of it tho. I be surprise if it makes more hp than the BMS one. I am also interested where it adds power as well.

tons of companies use carbon fiber for intakes carbon/kevlar too. looks good, light, smooth surfice, strong, and dissipates heat well.

I am running the BMS intake. I definitely notice a difference and it sounds bad ass when you're excelerating. buy from someone on the forum though, and keep it in the family. I think it's the same price either way.

Yes, still on the EV trucks. There are a couple different configurations now (high and low speed). You can check out the low speed here Our hope is to start replacing fleet trucks with these in closed campus environments.

Sorry for jacking the thread...back to intakes...
