As stated in a few other threads, coolant runs through our throttle body. This is to prevent the throttle body from freezing shut during the cold season. There are a few guys on here that run their cars all year 'round with it bypassed.
The idea is that the coolant heats the air up that goes through the throttle body. This can't be good for performance, so why not bypass it and get cooler air into the engine...
The procedure is simple.
Let the car cool down so coolant doesn't fly everywhere when you take the hoses off.

1. Use pliers to move the hose clamps away from the nipples on the throttle body.
2. Gently pull both hoses off the throttle body.
3. Use a hose splicer and hose clamps to connect the two hoses together...you can also buy a new 3-4 foot hose and replace the original two hoses with one.
I did this mod with half a tank of gas and got 27 mpg. This is with the A/C running (defroster) 90% of the time that I'm driving. Last week I got somewhere between 24-25 mpg. I'm not driving like the EPA guys, either.
