I bought some 4 awg wire and O rings from Home Depot today and made my own grounding kit. I grounded just about everything with bolts! haha. I ended up having around 8 or 9 contact points under the hood. I totally noticed a smooth initial startup, as opposed to the standard high rev and then settlement of the RPM needle. I also noticed better throttle response, and most noticeably, the electronic shifting of the automatic tranny and spark plug firing were dead on! I mean, I actually think it's too good... when I drive down the road while adding "slightly more than usual" gas, the combustion is very rapid and the RPM's drop faster than usual. At times it feels like the combustion is unstable, but maybe I'm just exaggerating or worrying too much. I like it, however, because it's certainly equating to more power! My next project will be a DIY UD Pulley.

+1. One of the few things I really don't know why they didn't do that from the factory...hell they coulda used a smaller alternator too.

Yeah but I don't understand why. I understand with better intakes, exhaust, lighter stuff, ect but not grounds. They don't need to test that it works better and it has no negative effects.

we don't own suzuki or gm, so what do we do. then again kinda do it but it is cheaper with the smaller guage for less money spent.

I actually did that a few weeks ago and the car began acting funky. so i took it off after two days and it started acting normal again. even with the grounding, although electric current travels in one direction, i think it would be best to have individual cables leading from the grounding points to the terminal, instead of having a series of interconnecting cables. I think this is much better for the current flow.
