Hi I was trying to install my UD pulley today, everything was going smoothly until i tried to remove the stock pulley. I've tried everything I can think of, but the stock pulley seems to be stuck (rusted?) in place. I tried pulling, prying with a hammer against the large mount near the pulley, WD40, and even heating it up with a torch. None of that made any difference. I dont know what I should do now because with all those attempts to get it off, it looks like its a little bit bent so I don't want to try putting the belt back on. Please help

Geez I hope that you were pulling off the right pulley and not trying to get something else off. I don't have the UD pulley (yet) so I'd defer this to someone with more knowledge.

If the wheel is bent, then I wouldn't recommend putting the belt back on. You might want to check one more time for bolts that might still be in there. I know it sounds obvious, but I know me, and I have missed simple things like that before.

Best of luck with it!

Tom emailed me and suggested i borrow a 3-jaw gear puller from Canadian Tire or Parts Source. I will try this today. 39,000km on it. I also has this exact same problem the first time I tried taking off my wheels.

Guys, they are using, what is essentuly superglue. Infact, thats what I used on the bolts when I put them back in. They where kind of hard, but wasn't imposible. My problem was, my firends touque wrench broke the day before. We had to use a German wrench in placing the bolts back on. You know about a german wrench, its "goodin tight"

And remember, lefty loosy righty tighty. Sorry, had to

Hey thx for the help, I got it off with a gear puller from Canadian Tire. New pulley went on just fine after that. But WOW the new belt was near impossible to get on. After 10 attempts and bloody fingers and knuckles its on and working

What? no dyno charts? or rave about how well it accelerates now? wow..guess this pulley is a real worthless 200 dollar item.

ummm........ what? I know you like to start flame wars but I will resist the temptation. There is noticable gain in the top end, I don't have any dyno charts to prove it, so I guess you'll just have to take my word. If u want a dyno chart, look on daewootech.com under the 360 dynamics section, they have it in there. I may get a dyno soon though, as I plan to get custom turbo setup in a couple weeks and I want baseline reference numbers.
