I wonder if they made it less responsive... I haven't played with a newer model to know though.

I can tell you that my throttle is nice and tight. So much so that any tap on the gas and you'll feel it. Right on the verge of pulling up the idle RPM. Maybe if it was back to how it came from the factory (way loose) I'd see even better mileage. Probably lose any snap it has to it though.

For the record I average ~27 mpg now. There are very few lights around here and all the speed limits are 45 or 55 (mostly 45) so that's probably why it does so good....

I havent driven a 2005, but it does seem to have a bit less idle response than my previous vehicle which had a cable throttle. I cant "blip" the throttle as easily in this car as I could before.

Last fillup (now five in a row over 400 miles) 402.1 miles, 11.9 gallons 33.8 mpg. Im looking forward to seeing how good its going to do with some modifications to make it breathe better.

O.o
I just was happy to do 11 gallons on a 250 mile trip. There abouts, there was some showing off on the street and goofin off, so I did use some excess, but not to much.
