I recently had my forenza serviced at the dealer and right at the pipe that comes from the headers back there's a piece that in the old days i would call catalytic converter. He called it something else. Well it has a crack at the pipe and this converter thing. He quoted me 500 something for that pipe and i know i can get it somewhere else for way cheaper and do it myself. Does anyone know what that pipe is called or a picture of a parts manual so i can find such pipe. Thanks for any help.

hey guys i have a 2008 Suzuki Forenza 2.0L D-Tech 16 Valve 5 Speed and was just wondering if anyone knows of where or how i can get some parts...

im looking for

the Under Drive Pulley if they make them for mine
a Cold Air Intake (or feedback on the BMS ones on how good they are)
can anything be done to the computer like flashed or chiped
can i put a short shifter in it if so from where
and lastly where can i get headers or how would i heat wrap it

currently i have the car lowered 1.5 inches 150$
HID kit, 12k (purple) 80$
i have 15in OZ Rally rims w/ Fuzion Tires 100$ and a Blackberry Trade
LED turning signal bulbs, reverse bulbs, and rear tail lights
2.25 Cat-Back Exhaust w/ Injen Muffler 250$
Custom Painted Grille- Pix Soon Free+Paint (did it myself)
a rigged CAI going into the stock air box that goes to the throttle body 30$ for the filter

anyways if anyone can please help with the parts it will be greatly appreciated, i been going insane trying to find mods to make it even just a little bit faster so i can beat other cars :D;)lol

thanks again JC

Over the past week my machinist has been working on my head, and tonight he finished it up and put it back on the flow bench to see the comparison with stock. The ports look fantastic and are much smoother than before. I have the flowbench results for now, but I will have some pictures of the ports soon. Overall I'm happy with the results this far :)

Here I decided to graph the gains for both intake and exhaust to see a more visual representation.

When starting my 04' Forenza it starts rough then revs up high then idles really low almost stalling, then if I put on the Heater it will immediately stall. I thought I had solved the problem when I changed a hose that was complete mush and had holes in it that went from the throttle body to the manifold cover. Problem still exisits.
Even when I do not put the heater on it sounds like the a/c compressor is clicking to come on and will stall when compressor comes on. Also, the radiator fans are coming on as soon as I start the car even when cold. Please help. Thanks!

I have a Suzuki Forenza 2004 2.0L Automatic..

I been Looking all over for a K&N OEM Sized Air Filter, I see them made for 2005-2008 but not 2004.. I have found a few sites that had them listed for 2004 and when I contacted them to make sure, they said it was typo and that they don't fit the 2004. On the K&N website they don't have a filter listed for the 2004 either

I was wondering if anyone knew if this filter worked with the 2004 or not.. or if there is another one made that does fit.. I dont really want to mess with redoing the intake with after market cone filter.. and California laws for that crap suck :(

Reno GTI

Okay so i've been buying parts slowly for almost 3 years now, and other than some small things like the intake and a few other things i've been slow to put them on as well leading to a large pile in garage.

After all this time it seems i'm finally at the point where i am ready to begin my project and build a Suzuki Reno GTI.

1. simple factory lip kit they offer in korea
2. bms intake, probablly will get modified by the end of the whole project.
3. a full exhaust system that won't pop a MIL and will have test pipes for the cats and resonators. (by the way i'm doing this in aluminum)
4. bms sway bars (reinstalled)
5. urethane bushings all over
6. coil overs
7. some good old chassis stiffening (via strut bars, under body links, seam welding, seam rivets and a few other tricks)
8. If all goes well a Rotrex C30 supercharger
9. a tuned transmission (i wanna keep the auto in the reno)
10. new leather seats front and rear with blue GTI emblems embroidered in.
11. new audio (nothing crazy)
12. full brake upgrade (lines, pads, rotors)
13. Oil cooler, Tranny fluid cooler, power steering cooler
14. functional duct work for brakes, coolers, and intake
15. a bunch of DIY carbon fiber pieces
16. 200lbs of weight reduction
17. new ecu with new redline and econ, sport and normal modes (this is going to be the difficult one)
18. a bunch of pieces to affect fuel economy, power, or aerodynamics just for shits and giggles.
19. i'm prolly missing out alot of stuff considering how tired i am but oh well

On top of doing all this stuff, i'd like to use this thread to show you guys how i did it. Lots of step by step instruction with proper homage paid to those who taught me how to do it.

If there's anything not on the list that you guys would like to see done, throw it up on here and maybe i can work that into my plan. This won't be done overnight so please be patient but i'll try and keep up as best i can.

Anywho, thought it was time to let the cat out of the bag

ok, so my mom has a 1997 oldsmobile lss right. it has a FWD 3800 series II supercharged v6 engine. i was thinking bout putting the oldmobile engine in my reno. i havent heard of anyone doing any type of engine swap so i figured i would give this a try. both cars are auto so i thought it should be a pretty good fit with a few adjustments. the oldsmobile engine is really fast, but the car itself weighs so much. the engine would do nicely in the reno. what do you guys/girls think?
