Engine overheating (F6a)

I brought my Carry to a mechanic due to oil seal damage, He later found out that the timing belt was also partially damage (cracks). After changing the oil seals and the timing belt, All was fine until I test drive for about 5Kms, the Engine starts to overheat. This has not happened before changing oil seal and Timing belt. When i brought back the vehicle to the shop, the mechanic said, that my Cylinder Head was damaged, and we need to re-face it. My question is: could it be that the mechanic has incorrectly installed the Timing Belt? which caused the overheating of the Engine.

massive fuel consumption - any ideas

Help!

compression 8:1 on all cylinders
air filter ok
no fuel leaks
plugs nice and brown

I have the following noticeable engine issues that should help the diagnostic:

When running the engine under load and letting go of the throttle the engine revs on for a second or two!
when I rev the engine in neutral the engine gurgles slight on de-revolution
The engine idle had to be lowered as it was probably twice the speed it should
It uses 1 liter fuel ever 8-10 km and it seems to be getting worse

I am considering going to a mechanic and doing some emmissions tests - what should I be doing to sort this out?

F5A Problem (engine died while driving)

I have a suzuki multicab with F5A engine. It always ran well until last week. I'm driving from work when it started to sound and behave like the engine is not getting enough fuel. Rather than accelerate when you press the gas pedal, the engine sound will go down, choke then die . After a while, it starts again but will only run a few meters and will stop again the same way before. The same pattern went until the engine would only start but not anymore able to move the vehicle as it dies when you try to.

The mechanic have already checked the gas line, replaced fuel filter and fuel pump, clean the gas tank and carburetor. Upon replacement of fuel pump, it ran smoothly for about 20 kilometers and the same problem came back again .

Is there anyone who knows or have idea on the most possible cause, and solution to this problem? Please help me :(. Thanks.

Ok, so I'm in Australia, and I've got a 1981 Zuki Carry.

796cc, 4 speed, manual, works.

Unfortunately, due to the size of the engine, the gears are ridiculously short, so I top out at about 80km/h (50m/h) comfortably, can do 90 but that's pushing it a bit. Maybe time for a 5 speed... Is there one?

Also, my older brother, prick that he is, decided to take it to pick something up without telling me and in the process managed to break the ignition (worked fine before he took it) and dashboard, and run the battery flat. :mad:Battery isn't an issue, buy a new one.

This left me with an issue because after having no luck with the wreckers yards in my yellow pages (I'm a bit below melbourne) I can't find replacement parts.

Anyone know what I can do?
