1998 Suzuki Swift, 3 spd-Auto, 1.3 liter.

Just recently, very, very slow refueling. A little over 25 cents at a time and gas pump keeps shutting off. The Service Engine Light has also just recently come on and the code reader said P0451 (EVAP System Pressure Sensor Performance).

Does anyone have any diagrams, experiances or info as to where to even begin looking.

Thanks.

GEO Tracker plug Gap .042?

I have a GEO Tracker 1996 that burns oil. I need to blow the engine out every few dozen miles and was told that a hotter plug would help this out. I bought some Autolite Plugs #3926 and the service man said the plug gap should be .042 for it to burn hotter etc. The normal gap is .032-.036. Do I need to re-gap these plugs or leave them the way they are. Any kind of info on this would help me and thanks,

I have a 98 Pontiac Firefly (canada(suzuki )
I have a gas leak. there are 2 plastic fuel lines that have a 90 degree elbow that is a Quick coupler that fasten them to the steel lines by the tank and the frame. ( Don't think they are the main lines)
Anyway the steel line above the plastic coupler is leaking.
Does anybody have a dia. from a shop manual that show where or how far these 2 steel gas lines goes? or a part dia.?
I could cut the steel line and replace with rubber or steel, but how do I fasten it to these plastic line or the quick coupler.?
thanks

Swap in a 1.3L in place of a 1.0L

Back story, I bought a 1993 Geo Metro for $300. I've already replaced the first 1.0L for another of the same. It's the black sheep of my car collection. (Supra Turbo 500HP+, Dodge Ram 6.7L, 02 Lancer, 69 Chevy Nova 350 V8... etc.)

I've been trying to find a Solid answer to the question: Can a newer 1.3L motor be swaped into a 1993 Geo Metro? My idea is as follows.

Buy a wrecked (in the rear if possible) Geo with a 1.3L motor.
Use the ECU and wiring harness from the wrecked car in my 1993 Metro.
Questions:
Does the 1.3L motor mount up to the 1.0L tranny?
Does the 1.3L Tranny bolt up to the mounting locations of the 1.0L tranny?
Does the 1.3L motor actually use any of the stock brackets or mounting locations of the 1.0L motor?

On a scale of 1-10, 1 being wapping in the same motor, and 10 being swapping in a 350 V8 and converting it to rear wheel drive, how hard is a 1.0 to a 1.3 swap?

If there is a link you can post that answers these questions that someone has already put out there, that would be awesome.

V reg Swift with noise under acceleration

Hi, hoping someone can help.

I have a Swift which is 1999 i think, it's a V reg if that helps and it has an erratic noise which is sometimes present and sometimes not. Some days i can drive all day and not hear the noise at all and other days it's my constant companion.

It doesn't make the noise when idling, or when i'm coasting down hills, however when i accelerate there is an almighty clunking noise.

Not sure if it's linked but there is a similar noise when i turn and accelerate from a standstill, such as when pulling in at a junction.

Does anyone have any clues as i'm stymied and don't want to spend a fortune taking it to a garage for them to play guess the knock!

many thanks

:confused:I have a 1992 metro and just recently have started having a problem with the fuel pump. When the tank gets down to about a 1/4 to 1/3 of a tank when I go around corners the engine stumbles and if i come to an abrupt stop the engine will stall? when the tank is full no problems. could it just be the pick up tube or the fuel pump screen has come off the fuel pump and is not picking up fuel?

Any help would be appreciated
thanks

Hello one and all. Been reading this site for quite some time now and did a lot of research on here prior to me purchasing my car.

The car of discussion is my 96 Metro LSI, 4 door, 5 speed manual, 139800 on the odometer. New motor installed May 2008.

I purchased the car from a fellow firefighter for in May 2008 for $200 and had to invest some money in it getting it right. A new motor was my most costly investment.

1st thing is my car "seems" to be running fine. It idles fine, starts fine, runs fine, etc. The code p0335 popped up about 8 months ago along with a po300. The p0300 has been the most nagging code- general misfire, but the p0335 went away after I replaced the crank position sensor. Well, its back now and has been back about 2 months.

I'm not sure if its the wiring, connection, or what. Weird thing is, I think my car is running fine. I get 40-41 mpg everyday, all day.

Suggestions, opinions, prophecies?
1st thing is my car "seems" to be running fine. It idles fine, starts fine, runs fine, etc. The code p0335 popped up about 8 months ago along with a po300. The p0300 has been the most nagging code- general misfire, but the p0335 went away after I replaced the crank position sensor. Well, its back now and has been back about 2 months.

I'm not sure if its the wiring, connection, or what. Weird thing is, I think my car is running fine. I get 40-41 mpg everyday, all day.

Suggestions, opinions, prophecies?
