Hello all,

I have a 2003 Suzuki Aerio GS and want to do my first oil change myself. I was just wondering if anyone had done theirs and how easy it was? Is it easy to reach and remove the oil filter?

Also does anyone know how much oil it takes? How much should I buy? 5 quarts maybe?

Thanks for any and all help!

I own a "54" plate Liana and have recently noticed that the rear screen washer doesn't seem to be working properly as water is just trickling out rather than spraying. I can hear the pump going and I've checked for cracks or blockages in the pipe but can't find anything. M.O.T is due on Friday so i'm concerned that this will cause it to fail. Any ideas?

went to the u-pull junkyard and pulled a spoiler from a 97 escort. dimensions are 44 between the outer bolt holes and 54 overall. the trunk lid is 48 and the wing outer curve was a pretty good match for the aerio trunk as well as the level. The wing tips will hang about 2.5 inches over and it looks cool. I have to move the spoiler forward about 4 inches to match the back of the wing to the trunk lid edge.
I will take pics when i get it installed and painted with the brake light working. Not a bad deal for $16.

2005 Liana misbehaving once a month

Hi.

I've got a 2005 Liana (1.6/4x4) which is acting up. About once a month it suddenly starts misfiring. The engine looses power and is barely capable of driving (first gear only if driving up hill).

When I pull over the engine keeps running at ~ 400 RPM. No warning light and nothing is logged. By the sounds coming the exhaust I guess fuel is being ignited in the exhaust system. Stopping/starting the engine usually fixes the problem right away.

The local Suzuki dealership seem to have no clue at all and is reluctant to even look at the car since it happens so seldom.

Any help or clues would be very much appreciated.

Aerio gas mileage

I have a 2004 suzuki aerio fastback AWD. I recently bought it and it has 30,000 KM on it.

I am not so impressed with the gas mileage and wonder if this is typical. Its about 41L and I only get about 350 KM of city driving. this seems lower than I should be getting.
What do others get? Note that I am in Canada and this is litres and kilometres.

Hi all,

Picked up one of these for the missus as a more economical about-town car... body and interior are in pretty good shape with low mileage. Couple of probs though:

1. How the bloody hell do you set the time on the stock stereo? It's a single-CD head unit, no visible branding, LCD clock... power button top-right, a row of 6 radio presets, volume knob bottom right. Disp, AS/PS (?) and track change buttons on bottom left. Tried holding down all sorts of buttons and nothing sets the clock...

2. Also on the stereo, we can't get it to tune to any FM radio stations. Only static. AM radio works, but no FM at all. Also I can't seem to see any antenna on the car at all... :\ Any ideas?

3. Center roof light sometimes works, sometimes does not... the bulb is fine, removing the plastic cover and kinda banging it in one spot seems to fix it - nice. Some sort of loose connector maybe?

4. Lastly... it's in need of a replacement front ashtray which went AWOL and also a replacement left-hand passenger side sun visor which had broken off. Can anyone recommend a good source for these? Happy to order online and such, or from Suzuki or wherever.

If anyone can help I'd be greatly appreciative!

Cheers,

Is an electrical problem but having trouble connecting to computer. Gives a 1717 code and fixed the switch but still flashing light. Does this sound like the ECM is going out?
