Parting 1996 X-90
This one came from Florida - originally Colorado.
I'll be bringing it in tomorrow to start dismantling with high hopes for minimal to no rust
Everything is available at this time

they are rare and in huge demand,,

I considered that but my best path is to part it out and make other people happy!

Around here, at least, they're in moderate demand.
They can bring $4,000 - here's one that's been for sale for well over a month - 1996 Suzuki X-90

But -

There's no title. That can be remedied but at a cost of around $400 by the time all is said and done.
Engine has needs. Head gasket went out - not sure what else went with it. It was half torn down by the previous owner who walked away from it.
The interior is...ok. Not great - not terrible
The paint is as you see it - not nice
The tires are not road worthy
Looks like the Cat has been removed.

On the upside the body is straight and it's complete.

So yes - they can bring $4,000, but in this condition - running - they bring right around $1,500. To bring it up to a $4,000 level vehicle it would cost a minimum of $2,500 and that's with a "Maaco" level respray. Add to that the cost of labor - even mine at 50 cents per hour - and the price I paid originally. If it were my labor of love it'd be okay - a break even anyway - but it's not.

I'm open to selling it complete - as is - but it'd only bring a fraction of what it will bring as parts. I've had inquiry from people who want to combine it with their rusted out X-90, but buying it - shipping it - and melding it with their parts has them to a point where they can buy a really nice one and be done with it.

a light 4wd is a real nice car. on snow.
kicks and x90 run like crazy , like this... fun too.

No - actually the process to obtain a bonded title isn't that difficult - it just takes a little time and costs about $400 when all is said and done.

I know the pedigree and how it came to be separated from its title.

Good question but irrelevant as it's half gone.
Still have the:
Right side door
Left front fender
Left T-Top
Tail Light Lenses
Grille
Hood
Trunk Lid
plus misc trim and so forth

If anybody needs a solid rust free body shell I'm open to offers. It would come with almost complete interior although the seats are bad - intact dash and so forth with A/C - cruise control and so forth. The sills are good -the trunk floor is good - it's solid.

Depending on the deal it could come with the motor/5 speed/transfer case - but the motor is stuck. My guess is water got into the bores from the failed head gasket and it's just stuck but that's speculation at this point.
