Default 2002 Grand Vitara ABS Query

Hi All,

I'm looking at purchasing this

http://www.carsales.com.au/used-cars/private/SUZUKI/GRAND_VITARA/details.aspx?Cr=6&__Ns=pCar_PrivateSpecialFlag_Int 32|1||pCar_ImageCount_Int32|1||pCar_LastModifiedDa te_DateTime|1&PriceMax=20000&distance=250&silo=100 3&seot=0&postcode=2061&__Nne=20&Model=GRAND%20VITA RA&R=1845459&__N=4294962891+714+56+42+412+547+4294 962179+834+285+257&__Nf=p_GeoLocation_String%7CGCL T+-33.84743,151.2137+250.2&Make=SUZUKI&__sid=11430DCD 6FAC&trecs=7

owner is not sure if it has ABS brakes. Does anyone know if this model was optional or not? What does the device look like. It's in the engine bay, yes? Cheers.

Can't get your link to work, but that's OK. US GV's had ABS as an option back to at LEAST 99' if that helps. Other than checking the brake plumbing and or sensors onboard at the wheels, the easiest way to tell is when you turn the ignition to on, the ABS warning light will illuminate as a "self check".
