Hi everyone, I wonder if you could help me with a problem with my Jimny. It is just under 3yrs old and never been off road. I have had the car from new and serviced etc at dealer. for the past couple of months i have struggled with gear selection. specifically first and second it wont go in if i am moving and when it does it grinds. This is worse when the engine is cold. I took it to the garage and they said they had adjusted something even though they couldnt find anything wrong with it and added that you are not supposed to go into first while moving.
Ok i am a woman but i have been driving for 15 years in the same way as i do now with no problems, Does anyone know what the problem is.
To sum up when it is cold first gear difficult, to get in and out then into second. gearing down when approaching junctions difficult to get in and for first gear i have to be totally stationary or it wont go in.
Please if you have any ideas let me know then i can get it sorted.
