Wild guess here, does the light keeps on flashing on the recycle mode or it keeps steady lit?

If it keeps flashing it's telling you that there's a fault somewhere in your heater/ac system.

If it stays lit my only guess is you have your HVAC in auto mode?

the led blink at 1 pulse per sec and stay that way until i play with the controls
i'm not in auto mode when it does that.

I read somewhere there is led blinks code errors, if some one has those while i'm trying to find them ... would be appreciated

I heard there 3 motorized actuators in the GV 2006 ... maybe 1 of them is giving up

I don't think you'll be able to read the code with a simple obd II scanner but what you say about the door actuators is right, they get stuck.

Don't know your situation, but what happened to me a couple of times especially when it's very cold outside and the truck's been sitting all night when I try to change the airflow it's like the doors are stuck and I get the blinking recycled air light, I push the button that was previousely selected and leave it until hot air is flowing for a bit, then I try again and everything works just fine. Doesn't bother me at all so I haven't even tried to replace it. Hope it helps.

You'll find the AC DTC Codes listed and how to retrieve them in the following link under the Tech Pubs / Service Manuals...
