Default belt tension assembly

Help! I have a 2011 Grand Vitara. The mechanic says I need the whole belt tension assembly. First they said it was unrepaiarable. They have ordered the part 3 times and none of them fit. Now they say they will just put it back in, but can't guarantee it won't shred a new belt. Suzuki said the part has been discontinued. Any suggestions?

premium? Is that what you are looking for? Sorry, beyond being a 2011 Suzuki Grand Vitara, I'm not sure....

Being a "premium" can I assume your in the USA. If so this will be the J24B engine. The parts lists show this tensioner below. I don't suppose you know the part number of what they tried to fit. It is often possible to replace just the bearing. I'd need your VIN number to check/confirm what engine you have. I don't know what,s going on to be honest, it should be an easy part to obtain and fit . The 2.4 is not old so Suzuki should not discontinue spares for decades

Default What happened in the end...

So I don't know why, but the photo you showed is the one they kept ordering which didn't fit. I eventually called a local Suzuki shop and they had it shipped from California. The tension rod pulley had a long arm, not a short. Hopefully it will be good now. Thanks so much for your help!

Glad you managed to sort it. Does your receipt have a part number on it, would be useful if anybody else has a similar problem in the future. Cheers-Darrell.
