Default New member /quick hello / and a couple pics

Hi guys I'm Patrick (Ottawa, Canada) just picked up this 2006 GV 2.7 rwd for a good deal. Wasn't really looking for one but when shopping for deals this came up. Actually pleased with it - no warnings lights or anything, nice and tight. Needed brakes pads up front and a windshield. Only issue I found so far is the clock on the dash doesn't seem to want to change the time. Unless I'm doing it wrong haha - I'll start a thread if and when something comes up. So for now
Here's a couple pics

I sprayed the front bumper, grill surrounding, badges, roof and top sides, and wheels satin black.
What do you guys think too much?

Edit* Half of my pics where coming up upside down. I'll post more soon.

Welcome Patrick! I'm a new member also but I found this forum to be very helpful and welcoming.

Your GV looks sick with the blacked out grilles, love it!

How many miles on your truck? Auto or manual?

The clock has no science... It has two little push buttons on the left, one for the hour, one for the minutes.

Thanks guys. Guessing my clock buttons don't work then. I can set the degrees to C of F with the button on the right side but the hour and minute buttons don't do anything. Guess I'll just unplug and replug the battery one day at noon, that'll reset the clock back to 12:00 haha.

It's auto and just hit 200,000kms (Canadian car) but no rust

To set the clock you have to press and hold the right button and then adjust with the two left buttons (H & M).

Also, Suzuki never sold a RWD Grand Vitara in Canada in 2006 or any year for that matter. They did sell a RWD version in the USA, which may be where your vehicle is from. Are you sure it is RWD? Post a photo of your centre console so we can see if it has the 4WD controls.

Oh it's rwd for sure. With all the snow we have it's easy to tell. No 4x4 switch/controls only traction control on/off. As for the origin I bought it from the original owner that purchased it new at a local Suzuki dealership. Had the dealership sticker on the truck but removed it before giving it a complete buff and wax. I'll check the manual or something. Dash is all in kms not miles
