Default Extended Warranty

I am looking to extend the 3/36 warranty to match the 7/100 drivetrain one. I know Suzuki discontinued the XL7 and unique parts may become expensive and/or hard to find.

Does anyone know if Suzuki and hopefully not a third party offers a reliable extended warranty?

Also if the dealers or Techs have something to contribute, please do.

Default Extended Warranty

I too would like to get an extended warranty on my XL7.
I love this Car and want to keep it up, running, and beautiful; for as long as i can .

I almost feel guilty driving it because it offers so much, at such a modest price.

What would have made this car better, (imho) would have been :

1. A 4 inch slide track for the rear seats to accommodate taller passengers. So basically you choose whether to customize the XL7 to tow passengers or cargo; especially given since the space is already there. (I'm 6 feet and my knees are on the second row seat when I try to squeeze in the third row.

2. A standard 2x4 / 4x4 Control switch. Giving you control to power through snow with ease or to get better fuel efficiency around town.

3. A standard 6 speed transmission for better fuel efficiency

4. Built in rear bumper sensor, since you have limited visibility from the back window.

5. Standard Fog lights, why not make use of the hole.

Still this car is a great value given that you can get it basically loaded for such a great price. I drove by an MDX today and thought I got the same capabilities & luxury at half the price

When we bought our 2008, it was so inexpensive after all the rebates, we got the Platinum warranty from Suzuki. It is not a 3d party warranty, It is from SMC. It has a disappearing $100 deductible, meaning no deductible if you take it back to the original dealer (if yours happens to be open still). It was $1000 at the time of purchase. I know with my Honda, the extended warranty can't be purchased after 7000 miles, so call the dealer and find out.

I called Suzuki this morning and they explained that the extended warranty has to be purchased the day of the vehicle purchase.

I will look for other options.

Since changing the ownership to my name on my used '08 XL7 with Suzuki a few weeks ago I have received a couple of offers for extended warranty coverage. PM me if you would like me to send you the company name/number. I believe it is a third party and not directly from Suzuki.

Here is the info: The offer I received a few days ago calls itself a warranty replacement program. It states in part: "It is important for you to take advantage of this direct purchase program to protect your investment. With this manufacturer warranty replacement program you can seek repairs at your dealership or licensed repair facility of your choice." At the bottom of the page it says it is administered in Texas by Marathon Administrative Company, Inc, O'Fallon, IL. The instructions are to call 1-866-989-4639, provide the VIN number, and the customer ID number (which is specific to me). Don't know what they will do for you without a customer ID #, but it is certainly worth a try.

I am not familiar with USA aftermarket warranty companies - but all I can do is recommend you guy something that covers all aspects of your vehicle. I've seen so many people just buy the powertrain warranties that covers almost nothing! And seeing the vast amount of problems with these trucks lately I would get something that covers everything! It sucks to actually say that but Iwant to be honest with you too!
